In this intensive one day seminar, you will learn the fundamentals of making truly natural, regenerative cosmetics and therapeutic preparations for common skin and scalp disorders.

You will learn:

• What is behind the marketing hype of commercial cosmetics
• Natural raw materials and unique essential oils
• How to easily prepare your own healing cosmetics - creams, lotions, toners, masques, gels, cleansers and exfoliants.
• Creating effective preparations for treating a variety of common skin conditions and scalp disorders.

Extensive course notes wil be supplied with the inclusion of healing recipes for different skin conditions.

The Balinese have a beautiful blessing upon greeting:  "om swasti astu," meaning "Peace in your heart, and in the world".  This speaks of a philosophy that is steeped in spiritual traditions, honouring time, ancestry and indigenous influences. 

The Lu'Lur Ceremony is based on the ritual originating from the Royal Palaces of Central Java, given to the Princess for forty days prior to her wedding to smooth and nourish the skin.  This ceremony offers an authentic island experience with its Balinese influenced massage using exotic oils, a skin exfoliation with ground rice and purifying turmeric, relaxing in a bath of restorative Mandi Susu (not covered in training) and finishing with a rich nourishing treatment.  A truly beautiful 2 hour treatment.  

This seminar is suitable for Beauty Therapists and Body workers who have a strong understanding of body treatments.

 We strongly recommend that everyone who utilises the benefits of Uspa Skincare in their therapy (or is interested in using Uspa) attend this class at least once to get a full understanding on the ingredients, newest products available and their usage.  They are a great way to update your knowledge and help to increase retail sales.  Stockists are encouraged to attend yearly to keep abreast with the latest Uspa products.

A modern adaptation of an ancient technique, practiced in India for thousands of years.  The therapeutic value lies in the power to relieve stress, muscle fatigue and tension caused by modern day living, which is then stored in our necks and shoulders.  Participants will learn to give simple yet effective 30 minute healing massage to the upper back, neck, head and face.  No oils or creams are used and the treatment is done with the client fully clothed in a chair.

Makeup artist to Karaja, Yvette van Schie, specializes in making women look their most beautiful without looking heavily made up for weddings and special functions.  Yvette believes that less is more and specializes in making women look stunning without looking made up.

Over two Monday nights you will learn how to apply makeup for a natural day look and how to do a special look for special events.

Week 1:  Naturally Beautiful

• Learn how to apply foundation to cover flaws and even out the skin tone without having to use a lot.
• How to use concealer to brighten the eyes and make them look large and bright.
• Apply blusher to give you a healthy look.
• How to define the brows subtly yet giving the eyes and face shape.
• Define the eyes with minimal colour application.
• Choose the correct lip colour to enhance your lip shape  

Week 2:  Naturally Glamorous

You will learn techniques on how to make your eyes stand out so everyone who sees you says WOW!

• Apply lip colour so that it lasts.
• Cheek and face contouring, to bring out your better features and take away attention from those not so great.
• Applying brow shading to open up your eyes and face.
